Praying On The Path In Pekin.

I almost always pray when I take a walk. I say ALMOST
because, to be honest, sometimes I forget. However, MOST
of the time I pray because it's quiet and peaceful in the
morning on the trail in Pekin as I walk to the river.
I get on the trail at 11th and Ann Eliza and walk about a
mile past local businesses, over railroad tracks, by pine trees, and down to the Pekin riverfront.

I think it was really nice of the city to put these quarter mile markers on the path to let you know how far you've walked.
Heavenly Father, thank you for this beautiful day and the rain you provided that made everything smell so fresh and made the leaves glisten like diamonds. Please send rain to the drought stricken areas in Texas and other dry areas. They need rain so desperately.


This is a walking/bike path and I think this is a cute sign depicting bicycles where one is towing one of those baby
trailers.
I pray you would watch over Maddux who is only two and making great progress in fighting his cancer and please help
Jeannie, a faithful member of our church for many years, who is also battling cancer.

I'm so glad they don't allow motor vehicals on the trail. That would defeat the whole purpose of this place of peace and tranquility.
And Lord, I am so thankful for my wonderful sweet wife who never gives up on me in spite of my weaknesses and
thoughtless behavior at times. She forgives me as you forgive all of us who sincerely seek it from YOU.



This is a very pretty part of the path, walking past these pine tress and getting a glimpse of the bridge. At this point I know I am very close to the Illinois River.
And Dear God, my heart goes out to the family members of the victims of 9/11 and all the people who STILL undergo physical and mental suffering as a result of being there on that day America will never forget.

And please, heavenly Father, so many are having economic hardship, severe illnesses, the loss of loved ones, mental anxiety and things that are too great for them to handle on their own, and only YOU can give the comfort and help we need in these difficult times.


The old Pekin Union Mission can be seen from the trail and the beautiful riverside park in Pekin. I wonder how many folks accepted Jesus into thier heart at this place.
And as in all my prayers Lord, thank you for the miracle you have performed with our grandaughter Breanna, the loving kindness and help you've given to Brooklin, Matt and Ashley. We are so thankful for them.
Thank you for my wonderful family and the awesome church family you have given me.
Please bless my sister Dee-Dee and her husband Stan, Pastor Tom and Jackie, everyone at Christ Bible Church and everyone that needs your tender mercy in these troubled times.
Let your Kingdom come and your will be done on earth as it is in heaven as you deliver us from the wicked one.
I ask your forgiveness and pray for the time when ALL of your creation bows down in worship to YOU.
