Soap Operas? You Can't Be Serious!
I'm not admitting to ever watching soap operas, AKA serials, AKA daytime dramas, AKA MY stories, but I've heard, from credible sources, they do things that are kinda unbelievable and fantastic on them.
Of course, I wouldn't know first hand, because I'm too manly to watch that sissy stuff!
But someone told me that babies grow up SUPER FAST on soap operas.
For instance, a baby will be born in a May 2018 episode, by June 2019 the baby is 5, and in Oct. 2020 the baby will be 16! What?!! Isn't that asking us to suspend our belief foundations way too much!
I have also been told that EVERYBODY has been married or had an affair with EVERYBODY ELSE!
This video will give you an idea of what I'm talkin' about.
Wouldn't that be confusing, uncomfortable and awkward? What about the poor kids? How do they keep it all straight? Maybe they all have therapists. Just guessing, 'cause I don't watch daytime dramas.
What would you say if I told you that folks in these serials do REALLY bad things, like murder, grand theft, kidnapping, assault, and very often get off scott free!
Here is something else I heard. If someone gets sent to prison for life in one of these stories, they get released on some kind of technicality in just a few weeks. (Art imitating life in this instance)
Remember when I said these soaps are kinda fantastic and unbelievable? Well, get this, the dead come back to life all the time on these shows!
Whenever someone dies, you can NEVER be sure that they'll stay dead! Especially if the body isn't found! Even after 20 years a dead person can pop up from out of nowhere, with stories of amnesia, kidnapping, someone faked their death, alien abduction...anything to bring them back from the dead!
Remember, I'm just going by what others have told me about these midday melodramas.
One last thing. Be honest! How many of you still watch these soaps? Who is courageous enough to admit your weakness, and pick YOUR soap opera from the ones listed below!
I'm so happy that I've never become wrapped up in all that soap opera drama, like so many of you who are upset that Ryan Chamberlain hasn't been arrested for all of those nasty murders yet!! He deserves the "chair" for sure!!!!
