FAN FRIDAY

I love the movie Conagher,
About a lonely widow,
Who tied sweet notes on tumbleweeds,
Where in the wind they'd blow.

She hoped someone would find them,
A handsome cowpoke prince,
When the tumbleweed stopped rolling,
Caught in a prairie fence.

Conn Conagher, a tough man,
But with an honest tender heart,
Found her notes of loneliness,
And loved her from the start.

Even though he'd never met her,
He was absolutely smitten,
He knew she had a loving heart,
From the words that she had written.

Conn found the widow, Evie,
On her farm with her two kids,
And helped her every way he could,
But he kept his deep love hid.

Conagher fought Indians,
And rustlers to protect her,
He wondered if she loved him too,
If his kindness would affect her.

Mahler wanted Evie,
He wanted to shoot Conn,
But Conagher would use his fists,
He didn't need a gun.

Conn whipped him in a barroom brawl,
Evie loved one man alone,
She grabbed Conagher by his strong arm,
And said, "it's time to come on home."

What is so cool about that movie, is that Sam Elliot and Katherine Ross are married in real life, and you can really feel the love they have for each other as you watch them play the characters of Conn and Evie.

Now, go watch the movie!

I don't care if you've watched it before, it's worth watching a million toms...it's a classic!
