Sunday Is National Coffee Day...
What's The Big Deal?

National Coffee Day is Sunday, Sept. 29th...therefore, the great, gargantuan, gregarious Greg And Dan Radio Show (https://www.1470wmbd.com/the-greg-dan-show/) graciously played my Kopi Jantan Traditional Natural Herbs Coffee song this morning to my surprise and delight! Here it is, in case you've forgotton....

By the way, this is considered the Viagra of coffee.

Greg and Dan are really good about playing my ridiculous stuff when I least expect it! They KNOW I'm always listening to their iconic show, barring unforeseen circumstances, like an alien invasion, a tornado sucking my house away, or my untimely death...

Okay, let's get back to NCD. (National Coffee Day)

What is the big deal about coffee?

The absolute LOVE folks have for coffee, boggles my mom mind!

You see it everywhere! Facebook posts, TV shows, talking with your co-workers, Starbucks...people adore their coffee!!

Personally, I can take it or leave it. In fact, I do not enjoy the taste of coffee one bit! Of course, if I could add tons of sugar, cream, chocolate, and all things a diabetic, like me, cannot consume, it would be okay.

My recipe would be a teaspoon of coffee, and the rest of the mug would be made up of totally forbidden sweet stuff!!

That being said, I drink coffee every morning. Not because I like it, but because we make a whole pot, and Donna can't drink all of it, and my mom taught me NEVER to waste food or drink!!

I know what you're all thinkin'. "Danny, why don't you get one of those single serve, Keurig machines, so Donna can have her coffee and you don't have to gag on something that's fowl to your taste buds?"

Well, uh, it's because I don't want to eliminate the morning ritual  of us both drinking a cuppa Joe together! Even though she's drinking her coffee in the bedroom, and I'm choking down my coffee in the kitchen.

Although it's not recommended for a guy in my delicate condition (not pregnant), I MUST put a tiny bit of milk in my coffee to mellow it out enough to force it down my gullet.

I have heard that coffee energizes people and keeps them awake, but coffee never fazed me in the least.

I've actually known coffee drinkers who act like they are high on some "speed up" drugs, when under the influence of that crazy caffeine!!

I could drink a whole pot of Java and go right to sleep!

Who is the weird one, me or billions of coffee lovers!

I don't think it's me. Do you?

In conclusion, I hope all of you coffee lovers enjoy your coffee this Sunday, on National Coffee Day, and I'll be right wit ya, to sustain the time honored tradition that Juan Valdez began before time immemorial!
