Our Chorkie, Chevy, Terrorizes The Vet Staff!

We took Chevy (our Chorkie...Chihuahua/Yorkie mix) to the vet this morning for his checkup.

Chevy is only 9 lbs 6 ounces, but has a "rep" at the vet!

They have to muzzle the little guy, because he WILL bite them, if they mess with his face or mouth area, his ears, his butt, or eyes (I guess that's part of his face), his feet, tail, tummy...I guess EVERY PART OF HIS LITTLE BODY!

We got him as a rescue dog who had been living on the streets of Lincoln, Illinois, so we have no idea what abuse he may have suffered, but he's very defensive!

However, when I take him on his walks through the neighborhood, he's as friendly as Casper The Friendly Ghost, "the children all love him so," and he never snaps at ANYONE!

He just don't dig getting messed with! Kinda like a cat, who let's you pet him/her, only until he/she does NOT want you to pet him/her, and instantly attacks you viciously!! (notice how gender inclusive I try to be?)

Sidebar: When Donna and I were awaiting the vet folks to call us in, some young woman came in with a fish tank in her hands. She had her pet, who was in the tank, covered with a blanket.

Donna leaned toward the tank to see what might be in it and asked the woman what kind of pet she had in there. Donna thought, maybe a hamster, or gerbil, or a little lizard. The woman replied, "A ball python.

That's when Donna quickly leaned away from the fish tank and pretended she was not aghast!

aghast

I have to admit, I was also a bit aghast, but pretended I was not aghast.

Maybe he was startled because Morgan Freeman portrayed God in a movie once.

Anyway, where was I? Oh, yeah...at the vet place! Chevy was his same old "tasmanian devil" dog, terrorizing the staff, but perfectly calm and happy after his medieval style torture (according to Chevy) was over!

How is your pet at the vet? Let us know here at Bloggadocious 222, and we'll laugh at your stories! Unless your pet is perfect at the vet. In that case, we won't believe you!
