Butler would voice most of these
characters for many decades, in both TV
shows and in some commercials. The
breakfast cereal mascot Cap'n Crunch
became an icon of sorts on Saturday
morning cartoons through many
commercials produced by Jay Ward.
Butler gave voice to the Cap'n from the
1960s to the 1980s.

Who was your favorite, or favorites?
I am a BIG fan of Daws Butler, because he
made me happy as a child, and because he
had such a cool name!
Not to be putting down the awesome Mel
Blanc, who had a cool sense of humor, as
you can see below:
Oh yes I love cartoons! Huckleberry hound is my favorite. Cool post.
ReplyDeleteWell, then, "A Huckleberry Hound Dog Howdy" to you!!
DeleteNow, "exit, stage left!"
LOL!
I've never heard of him and this was cool to read. I forgot about all those cartoons, thanks for jarring my rusty memory loose, Danny!
ReplyDeleteThat's my job, Marty! LOL!
DeleteI seriously love telling people about hidden geniuses, that do not get the recognition they deserve!
For instance, Marty Wombacher!!
Thanks, brother!
