THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY

A bridge, some whistling,
A classic finish,
William Holden and Alec Guinness.

A one eyed Marshall,
Who had true grit,
"Fill your hands you son-of-a-bit..!"

Christmas memories,
this story brings,
"Every time a bell rings,
An Angel gets his wings."

A little girl,
 And her dog Toto,
Took us somewhere over the rainbow.

"A Field Of Dreams,"
Brings a tear of sad,
Cause I always think about my Dad.

    1. Cool! Dad was always good about playing catch! Baseball was passion, and he was the best baseball player I ever knew!
Thanks for leaving the nice words today, Dee-Dee,
      Take care,
      Danny

  2. These r some of the best movies of all time. I love these actors & oh The Wizard of Oz!!!! When I was small my parents nicknamed me Dorthy & bought me a pair of red shoes I wore all the time. I just adore "What a Wonderful Life". I still watch it every Christmas. How cool that "A field of Dreams", makes ya think of your Dad. Awesome movie. & "True Grit" is me & my husbands favorite movie. We walk around the house saying fill you handsssssss u son of a biscut eater! Ok & I may hate war but love war movies. Some great stuff here. Brings good memories to mind. My Dad & I used to watch westerns, war movies & documentaries. Cool blog:)

    1. Yellow Rose! I just can't get over the fact that your parents called you Dorothy, and bought you a pair of "ruby slippers!" How cute is that?!!
John Wayne went way out of his "comfort zone" by playing the drunken, rowdy, break all the rules, Rooster Cogburn! I love it, like you guys!
Those movies told interesting stories that had good messages and real meaning! I can watch a "new" movie and not even know the point they were trying to make, or even what is was all about!
My friend Greg Batton (from the radio show) and I, are both hooked on documentaries!
The lives of people are far more intriguing than fiction to me.
I could not go on very long to my sister about Dad, because I was starting to tear up.
      I'm such a crybaby anymore.
Thanks for your awesome input and love,
      Danny
