Maddy is a little boy from our church who has been fighting cancer.
BREANNA

Our granddaughter Breanna has cystic fibrosis.

God loves these children more than we can imagine, so we need to trust that he will do whatever is best for their future.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matt. 19:14

Yes, God could fix these beautiful children in the blink of an eye, but he is the only one who knows the beginning and end of things, who not only HAS love, but He IS love, and knows the short term an and long term results of his actions.
Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 1 John 4:8

God can already see all of his children happy and healthy in heaven one day.
The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them. Isaiah 11.6.

The pain and suffering that we experience with sickness, and the loss of loved ones in this life, will be the tiniest of memories in our eternal heavenly home.

Some folks blame God for the pain and suffering they experience, but He is not the cause of sickness, heartache, and pain.
Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man,and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—Romans 5:12

He promises that death will be no more, neither pain or suffering, and all of these things that are hurting Maddy and Breanna will pass away.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes, and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain; for the former things are passed away.” Rev. 21:4.

I will be totally devastated if the unthinkable happens to Breanna or Maddy, but I know deep in my heart that God's ways are higher than our ways, and the tribulations we all face here on earth are only temporary, when compared to everlasting joy in heaven.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.
– Isaiah 55:9

Satan challenged God in regards to Job. He said the only reason Job worshipped him was because of what God gave him. Take all of these things away and he will curse you to your very face!
Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
“Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedge around him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.” Job. 1:8-11.

Job remained faithful when EVERYTHING was taken from him, and showed true, unconditional love for God in spite of losing his wealth, family, friends, and enduring physical pain and sickness!

What ever we lose in this short life will be replaced by God in abundance in the future, just as he did with Job.

So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He had also seven sons and three daughters. And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch. And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren." Job 42:13-15

It is easy to blame God when things go terribly

wrong, but remember who gave us life, joy, babies,

love, and was so tender, compassionate and wise,

when he walked among us.

We pray for Breanna and Maddy without ceasing,

that God heals them and brings them to perfect

health, and we have faith that no matter what our

Lord does , His love never fails.

He will make all things wonderful in time!
