Out Of This World Wednesday
Wonderful News For Earthlings!

You REALLY need to listen to what Louie says, before he sings!

Wonderful news for fans of Out Of This World Wednesday, our green Glirkazoid geeks, and the entire population of earth!

After hours of enthusiastic debate over a kitchen table full of White Castle hamburgers, litres of Dr. Pepper & Cream Soda, and McDonald's fries...

Gary and Rosie have decided to save planet earth, because in spite of earthlings being really dumb and reckless, they love puppies and invented ice cream, which is more than enough reason to spare their miserable little lives.

Thank goodness! If our Glirkazoid saviors did NOT take immediate action, earth folks would be DOOMED to suffer the terminal effects of covid 19, insurrection, mesothelioma, online shaming, virtue signaling, crooked politicians, cancel culture, Ellen DeGeneres, earthquakes in one place after another, killer hornets, flesh eating bacteria, etc. etc. etc.!

Only the ones fortunate enough to have seen this wonderful movie will understand why it's referenced here.

Gary - "Okay, Are you ready to emulsificate covid 19, insurrection, mesothelioma, online shaming, virtue signaling, crooked politicians, cancel culture, Ellen DeGeneres, earthquakes in one place after another, killer hornets, flesh eating bacteria, etc. etc. etc., Rosie?!

Rosie - "Let's do it, Gary!!

At that precise moment, Rosie and Gary remove the lids from two mason jars and release a super-powerful "virus" that sweeps over the world and removes ALL the negative, uh...let's see...STUFF that's been plaguing earthlings from the beginning of tom, up to 2020!

I hope this photo doesn't offend anyone.
NOT!!

Oh, what a happy ending!!!

If only it were true.

Misfits Mar The "Magnificent Mile!"

  1. Okay, I've never been to the "magnificent mile,"or ever had the desire to go to the "magnificent mile," but it must be pretty cool to be named the "magnificent mile!"

mar
/mär/
verb
  1. impair the appearance of; disfigure.
    "no wrinkles marred her face"
    Similar:
    spoil
    ruin
    impair
    disfigure
    detract from
    flaw
    blemish
    scar
    mutilate
    deface
    deform
    upset
    damage
    wreck
    harm
    hurt
    blight
    taint
    tarnish
    sully
    stain
    pollute
    vitiate
    foul up
    Opposite:
    improve
    enhance
    • impair the quality of; spoil.
"violence marred a number of New Year celebrations"

Now, did you notice the last definition of mar? .impair the quality of; spoil. "violence marred a number of New Years Celebrations"

The reason I chose the word misfits is because am doing a kind of alliteration thing...misfits...mar...magnificent, mile...get it?

Not that I have proof positive that ALL those folks breaking into the shops and looting are misfits, but you can come to your own conclusion on that.

Some of them may have simply been confused, and thought the stores were giving away all that stuff out of the goodness of their hearts. Something that, I'm sure, happens on the "magnificent mile" all the time!

Seriously friends, it breaks my heart so much to see these desperados reluctantly running into boutiques with tears in their eyes stealing items that will fill their basic needs.

I know, it looks like they're laughing and having fun, but I believe that deep down inside their hearts, they feel a measure of guilt for partaking in this "righteous rioting for rewards!"

I'm a bit old fashioned, but I've always believed in what my elders taught me, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"...wrong saying...I meant..."if it ain't yours, don't take it!"

However, I'm ALWAYS way behind the times.

Eph. 4

28 Let the stealer steal no more, but rather let him toil, working what is honest with [his] hands, that he may have to distribute to him that has need.

The Case Of The Missing Wallet

Soze, I wakes up this morning, goes to the can, comes back out and sees something lying on the dining room floor in the semi darkness of 5:15 am.

I turns on the light and sees my wallet, semi chewed up, but, thankfully, with nothin' missin'.

I'm tryin' to sound like a New York detective in a 1940's flick. How's I doin'? That bad, huh?

Anyway, Chevy, our personal little monster/Tasmanian Devil/ "shredding machine" had struck again!

It was my fault, really. I had left my wallet in my pants pocket, and my pants were within striking distance of of our personal "land shark," and he pick pocketed my wallet and had his way with it.

We cannot leave ANYTHING on the floor where Chevy can destroy it. However, that's also our fault.

Since we cannot catch the speedy Chevy, any time he grabs a valuable item we use a doggie treat to get him to trade the item for the treat.

Of course, he now believes we are rewarding him for taking things, and it's a vicious circle that WE created without thinking it through in the beginning.

It's not so bad when he grabs non precious things, like a water bill, but when he grabs a 20 dollar bill and begins to shred it, or a credit card, or a precious family photo, or a Cardinals baseball beer cozy, we need to take IMMEDIATE action, before he disintegrates the important item into a zillion tiny pieces!

On the other hand, he would not be Chevy if he didn't swipe stuff. We would think he was sick.

In addition, the fun and laughter he's brought us outweighs any headaches he's caused, by about a million tons!

That's all for this Monday morn! Have a GREAT day!

Greg And Dan Show Played ANOTHER Song Of Mine Today! Not Bragging...REALLY!!

Here's the song they played.

I know that every time I share a song I wrote, or something they played on the radio that I composed, many folks think I'm BRAGGING!

Well, I don't really KNOW that, but I imagine people thinking I'm bragging, because of that paranoia issue I struggle with daily.

FYI, the reason I share this stuff on the radio, YouTube and Fazebook is because even at 3 score and 10 years of age I STILL believe some big music producer, super star band member, movie mogul, or a rich philanthropist who likes bizarre entertainment will inadvertently hear it, and I'll make a billion pazoozas!

For instance, Ray Liotta comes to Peoria to visit relatives, he inadvertently (I know I already used that word, but it fits) hears one of my songs on the local radio station (namely WMBD's The Greg And Dan Show) and voilà, he LOVES it, and I'm an overnight success!!!!

It all boils down to bucks, not bragging! The water heater is not getting any younger, the garage roof has holes bigger than the Mariana Trench, or should that be DEEPER than the Mariana Trench? You know what I'm getting at. Medical bills are piling up. So a lucrative recording contract, royalty check from ASCAP, or high paying movie role is my highway to financial security, even though I'm a septungenarion already! I never could spell septuagenarian!
