Why Do We Live In A Cold Climate?

It's the cold, frigid, icy, below zero, chill ya to the bone, time of year.

I often wonder why we live in such a miserable climate, instead of a warmer climate, like Puerto Rico.

Here are a few reasons:

1. We don't speak Puerto Rican. 

2. Grandkids are not in Puerto Rico.

3. Our dog, Chevy, is not fond of changes.

4. Too many UFO sightings over Puerto Rico.

5. We cannot afford to fly, let alone, move our stuff there.

6. Fear of the Chupacabra. 

7. Fear of sunburns.

8. Fear of exotic, Puerto Rican cuisine. 

9. Too far away from Greg And Dan Radio Show in Peoria, Illinois.

10. I enjoy bundling up so well, I can't even feel the cold. It's like I've beaten Old Man Winter, or Jack Frost, or something. 

For those of you who stay in the unbearable winter weather of your part of the world...WHY?

Friday Food For Fought...I Mean Thought. 

Do birds pee? 

Where do birds get water when every water source is frozen?

What are our pets seeing and hearing that we don't see and hear? 

Do insects go to heaven?

What ever happened to all the billions of slinky toys that were sold in my youth? 

Why do politicians spend millions of dollars on their campaigns for a salary of a measly 100,000 or so? 

Do worms hear? 

Has anyone ever given a worm a hearing test?

If it's not the pitbull, but the owner that makes the "pittie" mean, can the owner be legally "put to sleep," instead of the poor dog? 

Why do I still love Fridays, even though I've been retired for all these years? 

Do you think the cigarette companies are promoting the anti-vaping ads, encouraging vaping, or don't even give a s%&  about the health of people?

Would you rather be governed by human politicians or a cute, metal, benevolent AI computer, and do you think we will have a choice?  

When will we have flying cars? I thought we would ALL be piloting flying cars by now! I predicted it way back in the 50's. 

Do rats go to "the big garbage dump in the sky?"

Asking Greg And Dan Radio Show...Why Me?

For many delightful years, the Greg and Dan radio show, in Peoria, Illinois, has graciously aired my songs and comedy bits. They've even welcomed me and Donna (Donna and I) to be there in person, LIVE, to say whatever we wanted to say! No scripts, censorship, or nuttin' honey! 

Just this morning they played a new jingle I wrote, without any trepidation, whatsoever!

So, a lot of you are asking...WHY?

When Greg and Dan have had some of the biggest celebrities in the world, like Kreskin, Yvonne Greer,  and Kim Blickenstaff, on their iconic show, why would they have a lowly snail such as I, hmm?

To be totally transparent, I really don't know why they broadcast my strange stuff to millions of listeners, but I ain't gonna question it! No way! No how!

In conclusion, I feel blessed as heck to be a tiny part of the internationally famous Greg and Dan show, which is the highest rated show in Latvia!!

I'm Not A Slacker...Or Am I? 

I can only imagine your confused frustration at my lack of blog postings these past few weeks.  

Your desperado moanings and wailings for Bloggadocious 222, to bring amazement, fun, profundity,  secret knowledge and bizarreness into your uneventful lives have NOT gone unheard!

Although you may suspect that I've been a major slacker (Major Slacker...a good military name), that's not totally true.

I've been concentrating on my avant garde  songwriting skills, which have been described as "different"... "unique" ... "oddly amusing"...

Freewheelin' Friday Folks! 

I'm calling this blog posting "Freewheelin' Friday," because I have no idea what I'll be writing about! 

I'm just making it up as I go along with no preconceived ideas to stifle free flowing thought.

My brain leads me to a place of happiness and frolicking in the in the midst of a cold January morn. 

Me thou art a friend of fearless frolicking for fun, folks!

However, not until spring bursts forth in it's radiant majesty and glory...because I don't wanna freeze my butt off!

My semi-lucid mind keeps returning to the time when candy bars were 5 cents and I would frolic down the avenue with a pure sense of well being, knowing that things would NEVER change. 

Yeah...right. 

Well, this brings me to the point of this blog. I just came up with the point!

No matter what you do! 

No matter what happens to you!

Don't let this world make you blue!!

AND KEEP ON SMILIN'!!!!!

And don't forget to FROLIC...weather permitting!!!
