THOUGHTFUL THURSDAYS

A couple of my best friends suggested I put these words to music, so I'm working on it today. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks for taking time to see,

What I have to say,

My words are all about you, not me,

On this very special day.

Who is there to pick me up,

When I'm lower than a worm,

Who puts a smile upon my face,

And makes my backbone firm.

It's YOU my friend, who cheers me up,

And fills my heart with joy,

Who makes me feel like I exist,

Like a rowdy little boy.

I'd love to stand tall on my own,

Do it all myself alone,

But I'm way too weak for being strong,

Living in the shadow zone.

It's YOU I need to make things right,

To free me from my fears,

My super hero, shining Knight,

Who wipes away my tears.

God knew that I needed help,

And he sent you as a blessing,

To calm my spirit, fill this void,

And keep my mind from stressing.

I don't think you realize,

What you have meant to me,

You walked upon that country road,

And picked up my hearts key.

I was afraid to jump up,

 And look beyond the wall,

But you told me you saw Jesus there,

And we would never fall!

I don't need a lot of cash,

I don't need to drive a Lexus,

Just my God, my wife, and family,

And my Yellow Rose Of Texas!

I want to do a good job on the music so I'm taking more time than I usually do!
