THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY

Blue Jay feathers,
He didn't expect that,
Maybe a bandana,
He would wear like a hat.

This gift was simple,
 A sweet surprise,
The soft blue feathers,
In front of his eyes.

They call him Jaybird,
His name is Jay,
He's kind to his friends,
Every day.

Oh, but he never expected,
A treasure like this,
As blue as the sky,
Born of cool morning mist.

A bit of the plumage,
From God's feathered creation,
Nothing bought from a store,
Jay felt such elation!

For a moment this sweet man,
Fought back a tear,
Who would share such a find?
Who would be such a dear?

He learned right away,
It was his thoughtful, Mim,
Always thinking of others,
Showing love once again.

Love comes around,
Often it goes,
But who can compare,
To our sweet Yellow Rose?

    1. There would have been no poem without what you did for Jay! I could plainly see he was emotionally moved by your gift! God bless you for being a true friend to me and so many others! Danny
