Why Worry?

It's such a waste of energy to worry about stuff.

I'm NOT saying I don't worry, but WHY do I worry, when it doesn't have any positive results.

Here is a limited list of what folks worry about, and the reasons why it's so disenfranchising to ourselves.

dis·en·fran·chise
/ˌdisənˈfran(t)SHīz/
verb
gerund or present participle: disenfranchising
  1. deprive (someone) of the right to vote.
"the law disenfranchised some 3,000 voters on the basis of a residence qualification"
    • deprive (someone) of a right or privilege.
"a measure that would disenfranchise people from access to legal advice"
    • ARCHAIC
deprive (someone) of the rights and privileges of a free inhabitant of a borough, city, or country.

Okay, maybe disenfranchising was not the correct word, but I think you guys/gals will figger out what I mean...eventually.

Worries...

1. Never reaching our potential in life, like being a super-star rock god, with a small g.

Don't worry - Odds are that NONE OF US will ever reach our full potential in life, so settle for mediocrity, like Salieri.

2. We worry about our chitlins not growing up to be the president or a senator or a business executive.

Don't worry - By the time children in 2021 are old enough to run for office or run a business, the world will have already been invaded by other worldly creatures, who will benevolently run all our stuff for us. We hope.

3. Our overall health is a constant worry for us.

No worries - No matter what we do, or how healthy we are, we are destined to be "pushin' up daisies" before we know it. Then, what does it matter, right?

4.  Why worry about what everyone thinks about us?

No matter what we say or do, SOMEONE is gonna hate it...be offended...reject it...besmirch you...

be·smirch
/bəˈsmərCH/
verb
  1. damage the reputation of (someone or something) in the opinion of others.
"he had besmirched the good name of his family"

criticize...censor...So say and do what you wanna! Like Rosanne!

By now I think you all understand how worry can hamstring our lives, if we allow the "worry wart" to control our inner psyches.
