What Is Your Favorite Christmas Song?
I'm Looking For Audience Precipitation

I meant PARTICIPATION, so don't rain on my parade.

I've been getting a record amount of "likes" on my blog, lately, but me thinks it would be fun to have more audience precipitation..participation, to bring an aire of friendly interaction, personal communication and love for our fellow man/woman, in this age of bitter loneliness, isolation and desperadoism.

Love this song, but so sad.

Leave us not dwell on the melancholy feelings, but get back to the point of this totally interactive therapy session, shall we?

My favorite, serious, Christmas song is "Mary, Did You Know," or maybe "O, Holy Night."

This is not self promotion..or is it?

My favorite silly Christmas song is, of course, "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer."

I know...I know... I'm ALWAYS asking you to make comments in the comments section on my blog. Why, you ask so inquisitively?

To be honest, it's to find out who is ACTUALLY reading this crap, and who is pressing the "like" button just to be nice.

Now, don't get me wrong. If you wanna press the "like" button just to be nice, that's okay by me, but it would be super duper to discover what kind of human beans would be wacky enough to read this gibberish every day.

So who wants to take the lead, and be the first one on your block to share your most favored Christmas song in the comments section below?

You will not be criticized, made fun of, or even ostracized for your ridiculous choice.
os·tra·cize

/ˈästrəˌsīz/

past tense: ostracized; past participle: ostracized

  1. exclude (someone) from a society or group.
"a group of people who have been ridiculed, ostracized, and persecuted for centuries"

    excludeshunspurn, cold-shoulder, reject, shut out, avoidignoresnub, cut dead, keep at arm's length, leave out in the cold;
I'm not being condescending by adding the definition
of ostracized. I just want to be helpful to each one of my readers, including myself, who wasn't quite sure about
the meaning of ostracized until I looked it up.

    con·de·scend·ing
    /ˌkändəˈsendiNG/
    adjective

    1. having or showing a feeling of patronizing superiority.
"she thought the teachers were arrogant and condescending"

Anyway, here are some choices, if you can't decide on what your favorite Christmas song is...

Soooo, now comes your one chance in a lifetime to just let go and tell the universe what your, personal, all time FAVORITE Christmas song happens to be...ln the comments section below, or on Fazebook, it doesn't really matter which, at this point in the game!

Can You Remember Your BEST Christmas EVER? Tell Us About It.

Even though James Comey can't remember ANYTHING, I'm sure that every one of you dear readers can recall your best Christmas ever.

What was it that made your wee little hearts beat with joy on that Christmas day? A new bike? That special doll? Singing Christmas carols to your neighbors? Eating the Christmas goose and figgy pudding? (I think I've been watching "A Christmas Carol" too much)

I think my favorite Christmas was the time burglars tried to break in when I was "home alone," and I was wanting a Red Ryder BB gun, and an angel, Clarence, visited me, because he wanted to get his wings, and I told him Buffalo Wild Wings was really good, and the real Santa slid off our roof and went to the BIG North Pole in the sky, and Tim Allen took his place.

I believe all of the afore mentioned "facts" are true, but I'm not totally sure if  I had any connection to them, because reality is not necessarily in my grasp since my high school football concussions.

However, I have a firm recollection of my dad always claiming that he stole the Christmas tree from the Christmas tree lot. Every year he pretended that he took a tree, unlawfully, and threw it in the trunk of his Ford (he always had a Ford) when the Christmas tree lot attendant wasn't looking.

Ha ha ha! What a laugh! He was such a joker! Although, I never saw a receipt, and he would never go to the same lot again. Hmmm.

Putting all levity aside, I believe my BEST Christmas was circa 1956.

The snow had fallen gently upon the trees, making everything look like a winter wonderland, whilst Mamma in my kerchief and I in my cap, had just settled our brains for a long winter's nap...Oh, snizzles, there I go mixing my unrealities again!

I was only 6 in circa 1956, so I just mostly remember the smell of the tree, candy, and uh, that's about it.

But I KNOW it was the BEST, for some reason that I can't remember...much like James Comey.

So, after baring my soul to all of you, take a leap of faith and share the heartwarming/amazing story of YOUR BEST Christmas ever.

No pressure. There will only be 46,000 plus folks reading it. A piece a cake!

Draw Me A Picture Of Santa, Like I Did For Yoz, From Across The Sea

My friend, Yoz, lives in Stockholm, Sweden. I've never met her in person, but she's been a favorite YouTube friend for many years.

Yesterday she asked if I would draw her a picture of me, as Santa, and the results are up above.

Okay, I didn't have a white crayon, and I never attended the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts, in Paris, but I tried my best.

 École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts

Now I'm asking all youse guys to draw a picture of Santa, take a photo of it, and post it on my Facebook page, underneath my blog posting that says, "Draw Me A Picture Of Santa, Like I Did For Yoz, From Across The Sea."

I know you can do it!

I am the worst artist in the whole wide worm, and I scratched something out.

Why, you ask?

It's to bring good ole fashioned joy back in to the ancient and festive Christmas season, that a few are already beginning to complain about.

You know who he/she is, don't you!

You don't need any fancy pants drawing boards, jumbo box of crayons, colored pencils, or nuttin' honey! Just grab what ever you got, and start creating a Santa we will all merember...remenber.

It will be FUN!  (That's what they said to me at the Army recruiter's office)

Hey, but this ain't the Army, folks! It's almost Christmas and you haven't drawn your Santa yet!

So, ya better get crackin'!

Tell Santa, I mean, Danny Claus, What You Want For Christmas.

Well, boys and girls, all of your letters have been thoroughly read by jolly olde, Danny, and I'll reply to a few of them today...right here on my festive, yuletide blog.

Dear Danny Claus,
I've been very good this year and would like to win the lottery. 100 million would be a nice amount to win. Can you make it so?
Signed...Billy

Dear Billy,
I'm sorry, but my spies have been watching you, and you have not been a good boy this year, or ANY year! Remember, we see you when you're "sleeping," we know when you're awake, and you've been a nasty boy in both instances.
As for winning 100 smackers in the lottery, didn't you make enough money through speeches and the Clinton Foundation?
You'll get a lump of burned out uranium for Christmas.
Signed...Danny Claus

Dear Danny Claus,
Would you get rid of a bully for us? He has been tormenting us with bad words, making fun of our looks, and not letting us play the way we used to. Life was so fun before he came along. This bully needs to be disposed of, by ANY MEANS NECESSARY!
Signed...The Democratic Party, News Media, and Hollywood.

Dear Democratic Party, News Media, and Hollywood,
Lighten up, the bully you're talking about is 72 years old, fat, has orange hair, doesn't read, and most likely, suffering from dementia. You're afraid of HIM?
Have fun wit it! Play along with the old coot. What's he gonna do, push the wrong button one day and blow up half the world?
Anyway, he's not gonna be president much longer. Do you think American's would put a nut like that in office AGAIN?  It will NEVER happen, even though they said that last time.
Signed...Danny Claus

Dear Danny Claus,
I need a true friend! I have boys and girls come to my house who get mad at me, because I'm better at EVERYTHING !
If they sing, I sing better, if they do impressions, I do them better, my jokes are better, and I guess they resent me, due to my amazing talent. Can you bring me a friend who recognizes my wonderful abilities?
Signed...Jimmy Fallon

Dear Jimmy,
Ya ain't that good.
Signed...Danny Claus

Dear Danny Claus,
I come to America as immigrant and work hard to be good patriotic girl. I marry American man who teach me to love America more, but many hate me for no reason. I think maybe I am ugly and stupid, but I try to smile and let it go. Can you tell me what I need to do to be better American, and what I did wrong?
Signed...Melania Trump

Dear Melania,
Political bias makes a lot of folks blind, deaf and dumb. Dumb, as in without intelligence. You are not ugly or stupid. You speak 5 languages, for heaven's sake, and you were a super model, girl! So keep on doing what you're doing, and all the hate will come to an end if you...
1. Divorce the Donald.
2. Denounce the Donald
3. Let's face it...it will NEVER end. Sorry.

Okay, boys and girls, now send me your Christmas wishes in the comments section below, and I'll see what I can do about pulling something from my bag of  imaginary gifts to satisfy your heartfelt desires.

You're Probably Wondering Why I Called This Meeting Today

If you want to do something funny, find a crowded elevator, when the door closes, turn around and face the crowd and say, "You're probably wondering why I called this meeting today."

C'mon, it wasn't THAT funny!

Anyway, the reason I called this meeting today is to explain why I didn't do my world renowned blog yesterday.

Or is it world unknown?

Only a tiny handful of you know that I'm a secret agent, who has responsibilities that take me away to foreign destinations on short notice, but that's not why I missed my blog deadline.

It was not that I was particularly lazy yesterday, even though I consider laziness a perfectly acceptable excuse for an old "fluffer" like me.
The reason I did not produce my Bloggadocious blog yesterday, was because I was working on the "winter concert" videos of two of my precious granddaughters, Autumn and Breanna, with a little added bonus of Roman, Autumn's little brother and our comical grandson.

Autumn and Roman                                Breanna

Here is a short sample of the videos...

The actual videos are much longer. They are about the length that only close relatives would enjoy

Personally, I think they are Oscar material...which means their great grandpa, Oscar, would love 'em!

This is Oscar

Both of the nearly 30 minute videos are on my Facebook page if you have tom to watch them. If Tom isn't available, you'll have to watch them yourself.

That's it. I just wanted to explain why you were deprived of my wit, humor and thoughtful, contemplative irreverence, yesterday.

ir·rev·er·ence
/iˈrev(ə)rəns/
noun

  1. a lack of respect for people or things that are generally taken seriously.
"an attitude of irreverence toward politicians"

An example of irreverence...

We doggies, those politicians are dumber that driftwood!

Your Favorite Christmas Movie.

After reading this little blog post, feel free to share your thoughts on what your favorite Christmas movie is, in the comments section below.

Even if it's something crazy, like Die Hard, or The Nightmare Before Christmas, or Home Alone, we don't care. We are not here to judge your ridiculous opinions that veer way off from the norm.

Of course, the rest of us enjoy the classic, traditional movies that include, Frosty The Snowman, Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer, A Christmas Carol (all 23 adaptations), Miracle On 34th Street, and...the BEST loved of all...It's A Wonderful Life! (according to a lot of folks)

My favorite is a toss up, between the 1951 classic, A Christmas Carol, starring Alastair Sim, and the 1938 classic, A Christmas Carol, staring Reginald Owens, and Mr. Magoo's, Christmas Carol, in 1962.

As you peruse the examples of Christmas flicks, think carefully about what movie you will place in the comments section at the bottom of the blog, because it will be forever etched, permanently, in your permanent record!

Please do not include short Christmas clips, like...

OR,

Including the above clips, that are extremely adorable, would not be fair to the movies, because the clips only need to capture your attention for a brief moment in time, where as, the movies have to hold your attention for a LONG period of time, and that's more difficult.

So, have you thought about the movie you want to place in the comments section below?

Not yet? Okay...

We'll let you think during this intermission.

Okay, go ahead and vote, I mean, share what your favorite Christmas movie is for the sake of posterity!
