10 Reasons To Attend "Greg and Dan Unplugged" Tomorrow Night!

It's incumbent on me to explain what "Greg and Dan Unplugged" is, before I show you the reasons to attend.

in·cum·bent
/inˈkəmbənt/

  1. 1.
necessary for (someone) as a duty or responsibility.
"it is incumbent on all decent people to concentrate on destroying this evil"

The popular Greg and Dan Show will be performing in front of a live, inebriated audience, at the Betty Jayne Brimmer Center For The Performing Arts  (BJCFPA) , at 1327 East Kelly, St. Peoria Heights, Il. at 7:30 pm. Feb. 15, 2020.

This ain't gonna be their regular radio show, folks! This will be a raucous, reckless, freewheelin' frenzy of funny, frenetic frivolity!!!

Here are 10 reasons for attending this monumental event tomorrow:

1. As an additional token of your love for your significant other on the day after Valentine's Day! It never hurts to have a backup plan, unless the silk flowers didn't quite do the trick...if you know what I mean.

2. To show Greg and Dan how grateful you are that they get up every day at 4 am to entertain us, and edify us about EVERYTHANG under the sun...from impeachment to Emo Philips...from legalized pot to pot holes...from the meaning of thrombosis to the MEANING OF LIFE!!!

3. They promise surprises! It could be like Oprah's surprises! "You get a car, and YOU get a car..." Or maybe it will be more like "you get a party horn, and YOU get a party horn..." but, HEY, it's more your gonna get at home...if you know what I mean. (wink wink)

4. Greg and Dan may reveal talents you never dreamed they possess in your WILDEST dreams! Talents that cannot be displayed on the radio! Talents that may be illegal! Talents that will blow your freakin' minds!!! Or not.

5. Adult beverages will be available at a reasonable cost, but that's not the impotent thing! Chex mix will be on the tables for FREE!! At least it was last time we were there, and I have faith it will be there tomorrow night!

Disclaimer: The writer of this blog assumes no responsibility if you discover no Chex Mix on your table tomorrow night. I'm only going by my last experience at the Betty Jayne when they had TONS of Chex Mix on all the tables, which I readily partook of with reckless abandon!

6. You'l be able to hobnob with the Greg and Dan crew, like historian/traffic dude, Ken Zurski, the lovely newsgirl/songstress, Julia Bradley, and, hopefully, the adorable producer Corey! In addition to the rabid, fun loving Greg and Dan fans who make it all feel like one, big, warm, homespun family that makes our actual relatives seem pretty dull.

7. We never know when "climate change" will emulsificate us into oblivion, according to "climate change advocates...

...so why not live a little before we experience "climate change" in whatever form it may take, by laughing it up at the "Greg and Dan Unplugged Show!"

8. It will give us a "take this to work with you" event to brag about! When your coworkers ask what you did over the weekend, would you rather say, "Watched TV" or "I went to the hilarious and surprise filled, Greg and Dan Unplugged Show that genuinely changed my life for the BETTER!!!"

Example of life changing event.

9. It's a good reason to try out your new GPS gadget, if you have absolutely no idea where the BJCFPA is located! Or your OLD GPS gadget. Or a map, if you have no GPS gadget, like me. Or just come to my house and follow me over there...but then you'd have to find my house and the whole rigmarole starts all over again!
rig·ma·role
/ˈriɡ(ə)məˌrōl/

noun
  1. a lengthy and complicated procedure.
"he went through the rigmarole of securing the front door"
    Similar:
    lengthy process

10. It's the day after WMBD's birthday! You can verbally, with enthusiastic vigor, wish WMBD a happy, belated 93rd birthday, in person!! This I know! You're like me in loving the magnificent history of this iconic radio station! Right? Right? And how could you NOT love the beloved Greg and Dan Show and support their new adventure into madcap, screwball zaniness!!

See ya there, folks!!

Out Of This World Wednesday
New Beginnings

The beautiful/foreboding planet of Glirka is the abode of our universally acclaimed heroes, Gary and Rosie. Who are the most awarded, beloved Glirkazoids of all tom!

Okay, these folks are NOT Rosie and Gary, but that's all we got for ya!

Ever since Rosie and Gary were little baby Glirkazoids, they've enjoyed the special uniqueness of this planet ... so far, far away from from this place we like to call Earth. Glirkazoids call our planet "David Bowie" for some mysterious reason.

Burl Ives, who very few folks knew was a shape shifting alien from Glirka's neighboring planet of Guurlerallizitsaclaqy, wrote a song that perfectly described Glirka, where he visited as a young urchin. (and I do mean urchin, as in sea urchin)

See the resemblance to Burl?

You may be familiar with the song if you're over 50...

Yes! Glirka is the REAL LIFE, AWESOMELY DELIGHTFUL "Big Rock Candy Mountain!"

Of course, Burl never mentions the constant battles with vicious alien lifeforms who desire their precious, delicious planet of Glirka...the giant goolahbirds who enjoy feasting on our diminutive friends...the ear splitting music that is emitted from the Glirkazoidian mountains when you least expect it...and the weekly, random color changes of everything, that can cause some confusion, especially at traffic signals, but has eliminated racism.

This is a high speed example of a normally slow process on Glirka.

Even with these few minor irritations, Rosie and Gary adore their home planet! (kind of like people from New Your City with that love/hate relationship for the Big Apple)

You need to watch this clip, folks

We slowly pan in on our super duper heroes, as they bask in the warmth of the blue sunshine of Glirka, whilst sipping on Purple Glirf cocktails, and picking off  goolahbirds with their atomic slingshots.

Goolahbird↑

Rosie - "I love it when we have blue sunshine, Gary. It's so nice and relaxing, isn't it?"

She blasts another goolahbird as she's speaking.

Gary - "Bah humbug!"

Rosie - "Gary! Why can't you ever chillax? You remind me of Don Knotts!" (Glirkazoids love Earth's culture)

Gary - "Even though Glirka is the envy of every planet dominating creature throughout all the universes and dimensions, I get kinda bored (Gary disintegrates two goolahbirds at once) when we're not on an exciting adventure into the unknown..known...known...known."(those were echoing unknowns if you didn't quite get it)

Rosie - "Enjoy your vacation, my friend! We both know that we deserve..."

At that instant, Led Zeppelin music starts BLASTING out of the Glirkazoidian mountain range! I think it's the Immigrant song...

"...SOME QUIET, RELAXING R AND R FROM TOM TO TOM!! NOW YOU GOT ME SAYING TOM INSTEAD OF TIME, YOU BAD EXAMPLE OF A SUPER HERO!!"

Gary - "WHAT?!!  I CAN'T HEAR YOU BETWEEN THE ZEPPELIN MUSIC, ATOMIC SLINGSHOT BLASTS, AND THOSE INVADING SPACESHIPS FIRING AT US!"

Rosie - "NEVERMIND!"

Gary - "WHAT?!!"

Imagine the sheer delight of living on lovely Glirka, with Gary and Rosie! However, I can Shirley see how boring it could be with the non-eventful happenings taking place all over da plaze, in comparison to the extremely exciting missions that our Glirkazoid warriors experience 98% of the tom!

Speaking of Shirley , here's about 2 hours of her. Hope you don't get bored!

Won't you join us next weed for Episode 2 of Out Of This World Wednesday? We promise you'll not be disjointed!

It is our policy to abhor things that alter brain functions, hunger receptors, and funny bone reactions. Some say that by simply reading my blog, their brain is altered, but we take no responcibility for the cost of psychiatrists that you've visited as a result of my mad ravings!

Mad ravings, I mean RAVENS!

Communication Is A Form Of Gratification

If you are actually reading this blog, please let me know by placing an X in the comments section below.

If you are NOT actually reading this blog, you won't know to put an X in the comments section, because you did not read this.

Example of someone who doesn't actually read others Fazebook posts but "likes" EVERYTHING!

The most sacred goal of Bloggadocious 222 is to reach the hearts and souls of you readers. There are many goals linked with me writing this blog, like making you laugh...making you groan at my corny jokes, causing you to question the existence of the universe, increasing your love for Joni Mitchell and Richie Havens, stimulating your interest in alien life forms...so on and so forth.

Of course, my GREATEST accomplishment would be to coerce you all to comment on a regular basis, so I would positively know you are reading this crap literature.

co·erce
/kōˈərs/
verb
  1. persuade (an unwilling person) to do something by using force or threats.
    "they were coerced into silence"

If you are actually reading this blog, please let me know by placing an X in the comments section below. (redundant question) If you don't know how to put an X in the comments section below, then put it on Fazebook, so I'll know there is still life out there apart from a few faithful followers, who faithfully focus on freely fraternizing with this funny freelancer.

freelance

or free-lance

free-lans, -lahns, -lans, -lahns ]

noun Also free lance.

Also freelancera person who works as a writer, designer, performer, or the like, selling work or services by the hour, day, job, etc., rather than working on a regular salary basis for one employer.
a person who contends in a cause or in a succession of various causes, as he or she chooses, without personal attachment or allegiance.

verb (used without object), free·lanced, free·lanc·ing.

to act or work as a freelance:The illustrator used to be employed by us but is freelancing now.
Okay. I suppose I'm not a REAL freelancer, because I don't get paid for this...however, that's not a legitimate reason for not participating in the back and forth communication I so, desperately desire.
Example of brief back and forth discussion.
Put yourself in my moccasins for a moment. You spend around 3 hours a day writing a stupid blog, (I know. I type very slowly) every day of the year (except for weekends, holidays, and other times...like doctors visits, important commitments, etc) and you never actually know if folks are reading your brilliant baubles of beautiful bloggyness.

bau·ble
/ˈbôbəl/

noun
plural noun: baubles
  1. 1.
a small, showy trinket or decoration.
    Similar:
    trinket
    knickknack
    ornament
    toy
    novelty
    curiosity

If I see no responses, it makes me think I'm writing to the air!

So it is with you. Unless you speak intelligible words with your tongue, how will anyone know what you are saying? You will just be speaking into the air. 1 Cor. 14:9

Whowee! Maybe that's my problem! My words are unintelligible!

Anyway...if this made any sense at all, let me know by placing a big X in the comments section below ⏬
