Wash Away Tumult! It's Happy Time!!

For centuries, I've dedicated my blog to silly things, funny events, nonsensical wordplay, and bizarre attempts at humor (humour, if you're from the "old world."

"Why?" You ask so inquisitively!

Because we have too much tumult goin' on today! WAY too much tumult!!

    • tu·mult
      /ˈt(y)o͞oˌməlt/

        • confusion or disorder.
"the whole neighborhood was in a state of fear and tumult"

          synonyms:turmoilconfusiondisorderdisarraydisturbanceunrestchaosturbulence,
          mayhemhavocupheavalupsetfermentagitationtrouble

It's important, even for just a few moments, to totally remove tumult,
turmoilconfusiondisorder,
disarraydisturbance,
unrestchaosturbulence,
mayhemhavocupheaval,
upsetferment,
agitation,
and trouble from our weary minds.

Kapeesh? Or is it Capiche? I don't know, but I think you guys understand.

It's kind of a relief to take our minds off of the "tumult" and move it way over to, let's say, The Little Rascals, for us "timers"....

For the millennial's  it could be American Idol contestants who didn't win (although that might be considered tumultuous to some) ...

Freeing our minds to imaginary places, that exist only in our childlike brains, will increase our joy to unbounded, limitless destinations of sheer
ecstasy, that will in turn, make our day pleasant, at least until the 3 PM blahs. Of course, at that time, you  just need to go back and read my blog again, which will take you all the way to the start of Game Of Thrones, which will toss you right back into
tumult,
turmoilconfusiondisorder,
disarraydisturbance,
unrestchaosturbulence,
mayhemhavocupheaval,
upsetferment,
agitation,
and trouble, but in a FUN way!

Okay, okay! Just KIDDING, Game Of Throne fans, don't cut my head off!

Besides reading my blog, there are many other ingenious ways of taking your mind off the chaotic upheaval in the world.

1. (And we do mean this is number one) Turn off the stupid news! Local news is acceptable. (These are only suggestions, since I REALLY don't know what I'm talking about)

2. Talk to your pets. If you don't have a pet, talk to your plants. You'd be surprised how much wisdom dwells within them! (A vast amount, compared to politicians)

3. Doodle. I don't mean like your doggie does on the rug, but get a blank piece of paper and start doodling. Lust look at what these doodlers came up with...

4. Get out in the kitchen and rattle those pots and pans! I don't mean to start cooking and baking, that's way too much effort! Just rattle them until the neighbors call the police. In jail you don't have access to all those devices that show you all the tumult that brings you down! However, maybe they do now. I don't know, I haven't been in jail for a few years now.

Another drawback to being in jail is you wouldn't be able to read my funny, anti-tumult blog! That would be devastating for you guys!

Let's end now with the perfect song to match my imperfect blog...

My Mother's Day Message For Donna, My Mom In Heaven, And All The Magnificent Moms In The World!!

Ephesians 6:2-3 New International Version (NIV)

“Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”[a]

Although the bible says we should honor our father and mother everyday, a lot of folks forget, or have never read the bible, so in America we have special days set aside for honoring our moms and dads.

One of them is called, "Mother's Day."

Believe it or not, Mother's Day is upon us! Sunday will be the day we take special care to remember and honor our mothers.

My mom went to heaven a number of years ago, but how I still remember the laughter and joy she brought to us kids and others.

She was always singing and dancing, telling funny stories, and teaching us things about showing love and compassion to folks not us fortunate as we were, which seemed a bit odd, since we were far from rich.

In the past I've written about her providing for the homeless, and ANYONE in need, but she made sure all of her 6 kids never made fun of, or looked down upon people "down on their luck."

On the other hand, she could be very outspoken when it came to her freedom to be who she wanted to be, and our freedom to be who we wanted to be, as her children.

Although she was an old fashioned, discipline minded mom, she allowed us to spread our wings and fly as far as we could, as we grew older. I still appreciate that in my senior years.

Another great mom, is my wife, Donna!

Her sweet love and compassion for her children is beyond my comprehension! (but, I'm a guy, so..)

I never knew the meaning of unconditional love, until I saw her in action!

Kids get in trouble, and I begin to think it's time to give up and give in. That thought never even enters her mind! Donna continues to cherish her children exactly the same way she always has, no matter what! Her love is like God's love! We constantly mess up, but His love remains the same. Wonderful!

In the past, she was a single mom, doing her best to raise her kids in a the best way she knew how. It was a struggle! However, she tells me that it was her kids that kept her going, along with her faith in God!

Donna still has sleepless nights worrying about her children and grandchildren, and she always will. That's the way she is. That's the way she was created.

I'm sure most of you see similarities here with your mom. Some folks have written to me, after I wrote something about my cool mom, and said they had a mom who was NOT cool, or nice, or loving, or even walked out on them!

I am so sorry if that's your heartbreaking story. Kids deserve a good mom. But even if that was your sad experience, you can often think of someone who cared about you, held you, protected you, in the absence of mom.

I'm extremely fortunate to have had such a close relationship with my own marvelous mom, and Donna, my wife, who has taught me what real, unconditional love is all about!!!

Happy Mother's Day to my mom in heaven, Donna, the sweetest mom I know, and all the magnificent moms out there!!!

Out Of This World Wednesday Returns? Maybe Not.

Ever since a Glirkazoidian spazeship crash landed on the earth, at the same exact time Jesus was born, coincidentally, we lowly earthlings have benefited from the advanced wisdom and technology of the Glirkazoids!

There would be no television, yo yo's, Snickers bars, Frisbee's, nachos, uni-cycles, computers, cowboy belt buckles, ice cream, futons, Ferris wheels, singing bass fish plaques, or almost nuttin' honey, if it weren't for the lovable little Glirkazoid alien creatures!

If anyone can still remember, I used to do "Out Of This World Wednesdays" on this very blog, where I'd do the adventures of Gary the Glirkazoid and his companions until everyone got sick of it.

I was giving some thought to bringing it back, but then I thought, nah, no one wants a rehashed virgin of those lame spaze adventures. (virgin?)

But then I thought, with Avengers Endgame being so popular, maybe "Out Of This World Wednesday" could become a BIG HIT this tom!! (Who's Tom?)

What do you guys think?

Please don't say that it's a great idea unless you mean it, okay? Because, you're gonna get what you ask for, and be bored with "Out Of This World Wednesday" for the rest of your lives if you speak in the affirmative.

Personally, I enjoy escapist syfy stuff to totally get away from earthly worries, fears, creepy folks, rude people, relentless weeds in my yard, guys across the street setting off "cherry bombs" that sound like REAL bombs (hard to escape that), politics, folks paying attention to their "smart phones" instead of me...and you get my point...right? Right!

However, on the other hand, YOU possibly can't stand syfy junk, and NEVER, EVER want me to do "Out Of This World Wednesday" EVER again!!

You hated it back then, and you'll hate it now, if I put it back on my blog!!!!!!

I get that. So please let me know, in your most honest words, if you want me to resurrect this classic piece of.........syfy.......gone sideways.
