Beautiful Day Folks! MINGLE!!!

It's a nice, mild day in the Peoria, Illinois area. Gonna be about 74 degrees, with light, variable winds. I love variable winds, don't you? They're not constantly attacking you, but softly blowing at about 5 miles per, then maybe a brief blast of 10 miles per, then back to 5 mph, then 7, 5.5, up to 9, down to 2 mph, and you get the point.

My challenge for you today is to go outside, if it's nice weather in your particular area, and engage everyone you meet in conversation.

I'm not talking about a simple, Hi, but more like "Hi, my name is So-N-So. This weather is really super duper, ain't it? Do you believe in aliens? No, not undocumented immigrants, but REAL SPACE ALIENS!

What an ice breaker that would be!

Admit it! Many times you'll walk past someone and not even acknowledge their existence. What's up with that? They need your undivided attention to feel like they, uh, EXIST!

Here's what totally blows my mind! A stick of dynamite! (Just a little explosive humor for ya) Seriously, what blows my mind is when I'm walking my dog, Chevy (the cutest dog ever), some folks won't even stop and pet him! In fact, they act like he's invisible!

When that happens, I'll say this to Chevy, in a VERY loud voice, "It's okay, Chevy, that BAD lady/man doesn't wike adorable wittle doggies."

I'm just funnin' wit ya! I only THINK about saying that. The whole point of today's blog is to make friends, not enemas.

Let's imagine you see a really grumpy looking person walking toward you today. What do you want to say to this individual?

1. Hey! You look grumpy! Got your undies twisted?

2. Hey! You look like my dead grandpa/grandma! He/she was a sourpuss like you!

3. Hey! You look so HAPPY! Did you just rescue a Collie from the dog shelter?  (they call this reverse sigh-Collie-gee)

4. Trip the grumpy person. At least you'll get a laugh!
Disclaimer: Any mention of violent actions, and or physical abuse is not intended to promote such activities, but only to elicit comical thoughts in the minds of you harmless little readers.

Harmless little readers of Bloggadocious 222

Okay, now's the time to drop what you're doing, hit the streets and MINGLE! Mingle 'till ya can't mingle no mo! Take my worm for it, you'll feel better, knowing you may have saved somebodies life by making them feel loved, cared about and warm and fuzzy.

I, personally, ain't gonna do it, 'cause I'm WAY too shy, but you guys should go for it!!

Due To Circumstances Beyond Our Control, Today's Blog Will Be Cancelled.

We will substitute Danny's brilliant rhetoric with one of his FAVORITE poems that he has loved since his boyhood, on the banks of the Mississippi River.

We apologize for the inconvienience, and will do our darndest to give you your beloved Bloggadocious 222 tomorrow!

Here's the poem...

Casey at the Bat by Ernest Lawrence Thayer ©
Published: The Examiner (06-03-1888)
The Outlook wasn't brilliant for the Mudville nine that day:
The score stood four to two, with but one inning more to play.
And then when Cooney died at first, and Barrows did the same,
A sickly silence fell upon the patrons of the game.
A straggling few got up to go in deep despair. The rest
Clung to that hope which springs eternal in the human breast;
They thought, if only Casey could get but a whack at that -
We'd put up even money, now, with Casey at the bat.
But Flynn preceded Casey, as did also Jimmy Blake,
And the former was a lulu and the latter was a cake;
So upon that stricken multitude grim melancholy sat,
For there seemed but little chance of Casey's getting to the bat.
But Flynn let drive a single, to the wonderment of all,
And Blake, the much despised, tore the cover off the ball;
And when the dust had lifted, and the men saw what had occurred,
There was Jimmy safe at second and Flynn a-hugging third.
Then from 5,000 throats and more there rose a lusty yell;
It rumbled through the valley, it rattled in the dell;
It knocked upon the mountain and recoiled upon the flat,
For Casey, mighty Casey, was advancing to the bat.
There was ease in Casey's manner as he stepped into his place;
There was pride in Casey's bearing and a smile on Casey's face.
And when, responding to the cheers, he lightly doffed his hat,
No stranger in the crowd could doubt 'twas Casey at the bat.
Ten thousand eyes were on him as he rubbed his hands with dirt;
Five thousand tongues applauded when he wiped them on his shirt.
Then while the writhing pitcher ground the ball into his hip,
Defiance gleamed in Casey's eye, a sneer curled Casey's lip.
And now the leather-covered sphere came hurtling through the air,
And Casey stood a-watching it in haughty grandeur there.
Close by the sturdy batsman the ball unheeded sped-
"That ain't my style," said Casey. "Strike one," the umpire said.
From the benches, black with people, there went up a muffled roar,
Like the beating of the storm-waves on a stern and distant shore.
"Kill him! Kill the umpire!" shouted someone on the stand;
And its likely they'd a-killed him had not Casey raised his hand.
With a smile of Christian charity great Casey's visage shone;
He stilled the rising tumult; he bade the game go on;
He signaled to the pitcher, and once more the spheroid flew;
But Casey still ignored it, and the umpire said, "Strike two."
"Fraud!" cried the maddened thousands, and echo answered fraud;
But one scornful look from Casey and the audience was awed.
They saw his face grow stern and cold, they saw his muscles strain,
And they knew that Casey wouldn't let that ball go by again.
The sneer is gone from Casey's lip, his teeth are clenched in hate;
He pounds with cruel violence his bat upon the plate.
And now the pitcher holds the ball, and now he lets it go,
And now the air is shattered by the force of Casey's blow.
Oh, somewhere in this favored land the sun is shining bright;
The band is playing somewhere, and somewhere hearts are light,
And somewhere men are laughing, and somewhere children shout;
But there is no joy in Mudville - mighty Casey has struck out.

Waxing Poetic..Better
Than Waxing My Back!

Good time Charlie,
Old but gnarly,
Seasoned citizen,
Do you pity him?

Memory fading,
Means less hating,
Bitter feelings,
They're all healing.

Past rejections,
Lost elections,
Big corrections,
Wrong directions?

All forgotten,
Like banana rotten,
And the woe begotten,
We're in high cotton.

Aged but witty,
Born in the city,
Not too pretty,
But plenty gritty.

Sense of humor,
Baby boomer,
Not a rumor,

If I Could Turn Back The Hands Of Time...What Good Would It Do?

I have a reoccurring meditation kind of exercise, where I imagine I've jumped into a time machine and traveled backwards in time.

Let's say the 18th century, which is really the 1700's, but I'm not gonna explain why. It's way too confusing to me.

Okay. So I'm back in 1755, in London, England, and I need to convince folks I'm from the future.

Telling them I'm from 2019 in the future does not work at all.

Telling them about cars, electricity, going to the moon, trains, planes, television, movies, dishwashers, and the millions of other technological advances doesn't cut it, either.

They want proof, because I could be making all of this fantastic stuff up!

Hmm. My problem is, I don't know how anything works!

"Alright, you 18th century people, cars are made of steel and plastic, mostly plastic and..."

"What's plastic? I don't know. A bunch of chemicals thrown together to make this gooey substance that hardens into..."

"Make some? I can't make plastic, but it's really real!"

They say, "Sure it is."

"Tell us about this television," they exclaim.

"Television also has a lot of, uh, plastic, and wires and anyway, it shows moving pictures from a long way away..."

"Make a television for us now," they demand!

"Well, folks..I can't make a television for you right now, or actually ever, and you don't even have electricity!"

"What's electricity," they query?

As I ponder on how to explain electricity, I think ahead as to how I'll explain, airplanes, rockets, smartphones, microwave ovens, the internet...and THEN make actual working models to prove this isn't all in my imagination!

Shoot! I don't even know where to find the chemicals to make plastic, or the ore to make iron and steel (they knew that in the 18th century, I think), or how to put everything together to make a car/train/segway/super computer/etc!

I would be of no help to them at all, and would find myself in a dungeon, or the "Tower," (I think that's where they put crazies), or the "stocks!"

Contrarily, has all of this technology REALLY been that great?

Not goin' there with my technology friendly readers, but truthfully, human beans lived for thousands of years without high tech stuff, and were pretty happy, until they died at age 29.

Hey! Have a fun, fantastic, fabulous FRIDAY!!!

BLACK HOLE FIASCO

First Real Image Of A Black Hole!

Another time I'm asking you to play a song, whilst reading me blog.

You probably think I'm a control freak, but when I ask you to read my blog whilst listening to "Black Hole Sun," I'm only attempting to enhance your bloggee experience! You see, I'm the blogGER, and you're the blogGEE, and Danny knows best.

With millions of folks going hungry, going homeless, going broke, going insane, going on drugs, dying from curable diseases, because they can't afford medicine or treatment , suffering from child trafficking..."THEY" spend tens of millions of dollars to photograph a "BLACK HOLE? REALLY?

Money that could have been spent on stopping all of the horrendous atrocities mentioned above, on finding cures, or at least bringing medical aid to the sick innocents around the world, or to feed starving people everywhere, is spent on taking a picture of a dying sun? REALLY?

You want black holes? I'll show you black holes... in my garage roof! Why couldn't they send me just a tiny fraction of the "black hole project" money, so I could fix my cockadoodie garage roof!

It leaks like an old guy on a long road trip! Thank goodness for A.Ds (adult diapers)

However, I cannot put adult diapers on my garage roof, can I? Hey, wait a minute...that might work! If I bought enough A.Ds for fixing...

Sorry, I got lost in my own selfish garage roof crisis, and need to get back to the "black hole" fiasco.

Not that it was a REAL fiasco, which would mean the project failed, but a financial fiasco...a total waste of pazoozas!

Ask yourself, "what good did this photo of a black hole do for me?"

Then ask yourself, "what good would an extra 1.5 million dollars in my pocket do for me?"

I am guesstimating that if they split up all the moolah they shelled out for the "black hole project" amongst us needy folk, it would total 1.5 million smackers a piece!

Now, are you starting to appreciate my..uh...I forgot what I was talking about.

Well, have a nice day, folks!!

There's A Fungus Amung Us!

Candida is the worldwide fungus that is currently circumnavigating the globe, causing things like a white tongue, athlete's foot, constipation, bloating, irritable bowel syndrome, diarrhea and flatulence after eating.

We are not going to be discussing (did you know this was a discussion) the symptoms, the Tony Orlando song, the statistics or mortality rates, or none of that boring stuff!

What we REALLY need to consider is where it came from!

Put on your thinking caps, because I'm gonna ask you your opinion on where this devilish, freaky fungus originated.

Some scientists (but who believes them anymore) claim "Candida" is millions of years old, and recently popped up again, due to "climate change."

Of course, EVERY BAD THING is due to "climate change" anymore, right?

However, what a great excuse for when we screw up, huh?

Let's say you run out of gas, with (gulp) your spouse in the car.

"Baby, it was climate change! The varied weather situations, with barometric pressure and bomb cyclone interference, messed with the gas gauge default mechanism!"

Back to the fearful fungus.

Many "experts" say the Candida fungus was created by evil scientists from China, or Russia, or North Korea, but that does not explain why the frightening fungus is not ABSENT from China, Russia, and North Korea. They wouldn't fungus themselves, would they? Maybe they would,  just to take suspicion off themselves. Hmmm?

The "worldwide web" could be the catalyst for stimulating the little fungus cells to grow at an increased rate, from the electronic impulses attacking them every time someone tweets, clicks, emails, retweets, YouTubes, Facebooks, and the trillions of other internet stuff.

My personal belief is SPACE ALIENS have either placed all the fungus things all over the world, or they ARE the little fungus things!!

Now, here comes the discussion part.

1. Was it "climate change?"

2. China? Russia? North Korea? South Bend, Indiana?

3. The "worldwide web?"

4. Space aliens?

5. Other?
